Christmas Treats

This was sitting on my desk this morning....

a present from Dr. Elaine, a volunteer dentist who helps me on Thursdays. She made them all! So if you are in my neighborhood in the next few days (because that is probably about all they will last around the Osborn house these days), please stop by for a cookie and a cup of this deliciousness.

Wedding Week

I am so EXCITED, she is getting married this weekend! The wedding weekend schedule looks to be fabulous...and let me tell you Remmerts know how to throw a wedding. Seriously, they are always the most fun celebrations ever. She is such an amazing person, and I know Rich and she are going to be so happy.

Now, I just need a spray tan and my full body spanx and I will be ready!

Thanksgiving Part 2

So after our quail hunting expedition, we headed up to the roost for a traditional thankgiving feast.  I love thanksgiving, the holiday that you focus on the Lord's blessings in your life, enjoy time with family, and eat until you are stuffed (or in my case this year, until you have terrible pregnancy heartburn).

and last but not least, story night on the porch...I wish this was clearer, but it depicts well everyone cozing up on the swing bed. Mom made encouraged us go out and look at the stars and tell stories of old....and I am glad she did.

That's all I got....now on to Christmas festivites!!!

Thanksgiving at the Roost Part 1

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration, starting with skeet shooting and a quail hunt. Our cousins from California, the Grutzmachers came into town to spend the holiday with us. I think hunting birds on Thanksgiving was a first for them, but they all caught on very quickly. The Millers, Cooks, and Russells also headed north from Mobile, so all of my dad's side of the fam was in attendance. We all decked out in our hunting gear, loaded up on mules (the man-made kind), and away we went...all 28 of us.

Fair swinging with her overall, boots and bow of course

Dick and Dad
newly engaged Gary and Annie (we can't wait for the wedding in August in San Fran!!)

Lacey and Doug, sharp shooters
Robert and Annie (who picked up on it VERY quickly)
even Jana "killed" a few

Baby O Showered with Blessings

This past weekend family and friends came together to celebrate Baby Osborn. To say it was special and wonderful would be an understatement. I feel very humbled and thankful. For all of you moms out there, you totally understand...it is such an incredible feeling knowing that your loved ones are there to support and celebrate this new life that is forming inside of you. Everything was perfect. Here is a glimpse:

That night after unloading everything, James and I sat in the nursery in awe. He immediately starting putting everything together that needed it. (the engineer in him) He walked around in the Baby Bjorn for like 20 minutes. I just sat and cried. I think several things hit me: 1. how blessed we are with such sweet supportive family and friends 2. how thankful I am for this baby God has given us 3. how much crap sorry mom, crud this baby requires
