Birthday Girl

My sister turned a big ??? I will let her disclose that info to the blog world...but we had a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. I took pictures with her camera, so go check out her blog post here.

She ages well, huh?! Happy Birthday Sister, you are the best!! Love you!

Real World

You would think the dentists' kids would LOVE getting their teeth cleaned and be on time for all appointments. Not so much, he is 6 months late from our 12 month first visit recommendation. He does like to brush his own teeth, but does not like it so much when you do it.

Thank you Crystal for working through the fussiness! Our hygienists really are great!

Real Pregnant and Busy

Hello Blog Friends! I am trying to keep up with summer activities and such on the blog, but there is just not enough time. Here are some random ramblings and updates:

I am really pregnant, like 39 weeks pregnant. I can't complain, I have been feeling good, but I forgot how large and uncomfortable these last few weeks are. Baby boy has lodged under my left rib and it feels great. I had a drs. appointment yesterday and am 2 cm and 50% effaced (aka my cervix is half way thinned). This is slight progress from last week, but not significant. I don't anticipate him making his debut this week, which is good because we have a lot to do to get ready. Mom is working on Lane's big boy room as I type (thanks mom!)

I will be induced next Thursday (26th) if he has not come before then.  The tricky part is that I stayed with the same Dr. that delivered Lane at St. Vincent's so we have a little drive time to get to the hospital if I do go into labor before then. I can just see it now, mid root canal on a patient...water breaks....hmmm could be interesting. Speaking of work, we are very busy (such a blessing!!) with everyone getting their back to school cleanings so I am in full work mode.

We celebrated the upcoming arrival of Baby Bobo this past weekend. I don't have many pictures as I took them on Caroline's camera, so post soon CKB! It was a lot of fun, and I am so excited to find out what Baby Bobo is. We did a gender pool, here is my guess : BOY Sept. 20th

Momma Susie (grandmother to be)

Liney, Courtney, and Beth

I have been reading at night before bed if I don't fall asleep too early. Here are some of the recent good ones:

Seven by Jen Hatmaker
great read on ways to rid of excess in our lives..she focuses on different areas each month, food, clothes, media etc. to rid of excess...also love her explanation of Godly fasting...she has a great sense of humor too, which makes it fun while convicting.

The Body in the Boudoir by Katherine Hall Page

totally different from what I normally like, but a fun light mystery...would be a great beach read

The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck
my favorite so far from this Christian fiction author, really like that it is set in Birmingham so fun bc she mentions local spots, again another light easy read

Hope to be back again before baby boy comes, but we'll see :)

Fourth of July

We headed back to the beach to spend the week of the fourth with my fam including my brother and his family.  He is busy, busy with his awesome food truck and catering business, so it was a treat to spend time with he, Lacey, and baby Ford. Here are some picture highlights:
Grandmomma and Grandaddy were there to play too!!

snack time on the island--who knew sandy Pb &J's tasted so good?!

Don't let this sweet face fool you...Poor Ford, Lane had to learn some boundaries. He wanted to "hug" and "love" on Ford intensely. I wish I could say it was always sweet, but not so much. I hope it was good practice for the new baby. Little does Lane know that Ford will probably be able to take him very very soon, so he better watch out.

Loved playing in the bayou

and in the pool by the bayou...

the two little munchkins eating...they are very good at this! Ford is only 9 months old and already feeds himself. Lane has become adamant this last month that only he feeds himself and has to use a fork. It gets very very messy.

family shot at Cobalts, we ate here at least three times. Good food (James loves the fish sandwich) and fast service, with a toddler that becomes very important. They also have great fried shrimp for Lane, he loves them (as do I).

Lacey, Ford, and Mac

Lane and Ford in their matching shirts made for them by Elizabeth Culpepper. So cute!
Uncle David being very Patriotic

cruising around in the boat...Lane cracks me up with all of his gear. The glasses didn't last too long.

Ford relaxing...the good life...a bottle and a boat ride
the fishing crew and their catches

Lane loved the "phis", he didn't know it was the bait

watching them clean the fish

Fourth of July= 37+ weeks preggo

Pie and Pal with the boys

celebrating with Virginia and Ann Marie

I will say I was somewhat hesitant about a week at the beach being so pregnant, but it was wonderful! I am especially thankful for all of the grandparent/aunt and uncle help as James and I both got to relax too. It was a fun last trip before this new baby boy comes. (more update on that soon!)

Baby Rayne Rossell

Today is a very special day...Molly and Rich Rossell had their baby, a beautiful baby GIRL! They named her Rayne Emma Rossell. TEARS. I am SO honored to have a namesake!!
pre-epidural, Yes she is just relaxing!

and yes she is about to have a baby, looking amazing!

LOVE this picture of the proud Daddy...This is him sharing the joyous news of a baby GIRL. I can't handle surprises, so was dying to find out!!! I was also surprised to find out her name...Rayne Emma Rossell, to be called Rayne! I boo-hood like a baby. Bess her sister has a hilarious picture of me finding out, I will share when she sends it. A neat tradition continues...Molly's mom Patti was named after her college room mate. Molly is named after her mom's college room mate, and now Molly's baby girl is named after me, her college room mate. I am glad my messes and disorganization didn't scar her too badly :)

Proud Grandparents, The neat thing is this is their 10th grandchild and no one (Molly and siblings) has ever found out the sex. AHHHH, how do they do that every time?! It made it very exciting in the waiting room!

beautiful new momma and baby, She did awesome by the way, pushed for less than an hour and she was here

Rayne Emma Rossell
8.8 lbs. and 21 inches long
LOVE her already

Love you Rossell family, so happy to celebrate God's miracle with you today. I promise to be a faithful prayer warrior for baby Rayne and SPOIL her rotten! (hello, I am soon to have 2 boys and let's face it, girl stuff is a lot cuter, good reason for some pink, ruffles, and lace purchases!!)
