Beach Weekends and Boy Updates

We have been enjoying heading down to Orange Beach, Al. for long weekends.

It is most fun when our cousins come....

Aunt J and Pie Memorial Weekend

love this picture of some of my favorite people

handsome Buster men

Mary Lafitte and Miss Caroline

Holden is no dummy, enjoying time with Annie and Ella

giving Carlisle a ride

best we could get, they are in that hard phase of taking pictures, unless you catch them off guard :(

Holden at almost two is a mess. for my records: He is very verbal, so much so I forget that he is not even two. His favorite sayings are "Hold my hand".  "Because I said so" "You not spank me momma" "Yee haw, cowboy!" "I love you so much".  He can count to ten, sing all of our bed time songs like, Jesus loves me, Shout to the Lord, and both of their favorites, Never Let Go by Matt Redmond.
He is ferocious and pushy one minute and a complete cuddle bug the next. He is funny, and he knows it. He is not sensitive like Lane. His favorite color is "gween".  He could be potty trained if I would put a little more emphasis on it. In the morning, he walks in and tells me, "Get up momma, I need my milk." "I go watch cawtoons and eat my baws" (aka turn on Mickey Mouse and get my breakfast bar).
Slightly demanding.
He doesn't let Lane push him around, yet doesn't want to do anything without him. In the mornings, he says "Let me see baby bwother." He lifts my shirt and gives him kisses. The next minute he will run up to my belly, smack it with his little hand, and say "I spank that baby!". I know this third boy will be a tough cookie.
He is completely sweet and sassy, and I love him to pieces.

Osborn beach trip last week

Lane boy
He is blossoming into a little boy. He communicates much more clearly, and has started the question phase. "How do they do that?"
He loves all things construction, bugs, and animals.
Yesterday he saw an ant crawling on our floor, ran grabbed a fly swatter and took care of business. He said, "Don't worry, I got it momma!"
He has loved going to the beach and hunting for crabs, fishing, and swimming. It is really such a fun stage. He has been taking swim lessons for the past two weeks, and his progress is amazing! He tests his independence daily, and is definitely feeling the waters of what is ok behaviourally and what is not. He will say things he picks up from others, and look up at me with big eyes to see if I deem it acceptable. (most of it he already knows is not!)
He is quick to accept discipline unlike his little brother.
He loves for me to scratch his back before bed.
He still loves the color red.
He wants to know how all things work, and loves to help his daddy with any project.
He is my sensitive, inquisitive thinker.

I am 29 weeks pregnant, and feeling good. I have blossomed the past few weeks and finally feel like this baby boy is growing and letting his presence be known.
I have been craving all things tomato and mayonnaise.
Ranch dressing, I love you.
My friend Bradford made me Basil Herb Mayonnaise, and oh my goodness!!! I just grab things and dip them straight into the jar.
I also have been loving lemonade, good ice, and of course chocolate.
I have been continuing with cross fit three days a week, but modifying as needed. The main hard factor has been the heat!
We have a 4-D ultrasound on Friday, so I am looking forward to seeing some pictures of this sweet buddy.

Happy Summer Everyone!!

Fowl Cay Vaca

A few weeks ago we took a family vacation to the Exuma, Bahamas, specifically a small island called Fowl Cay, consisting of about seven houses and a main house for meals. James and I decided we should try to take the boys, well only if under the condition that Pie and Pal would join us. I cannot tell you what a good idea that was :)
It was Holden's first plane trip, Lane's second. They did great. It was an easy Montgomery to Atlanta, Atlanta to Nassau trip. We then took a charter from Nassau to Staniel Cay, then a boat picked us up for the last leg. Sounds like a lot, but thankfully it went smoothly. The hardest part was the charter flight as it was very loud and hot, and by that time they were over the excitement of flying.

Once we arrived it was gorgeous! Bluest water I have ever seen!

This was our view of the dock from the side porch. Each house was given a little boat to use to explore the surounding islands. Perfection.

Each day we would ride by "pig beach" to see the pigs. They were enormous, the one above was one of the smaller ones. They would swim right up to your boat hoping for a treat.

This denotes our typical day--find a pretty spot, park the boat, play in the sand, eat our picnic lunch and then head back to the house for naps and swimming. Pretty relaxing.

so thankful for these grandparents that shared their vacation helping with these rascals...

Lane's favorite spot

endless white sand beaches and blue water

burying momma and baby boy

Headed to dinner at the Hill house--we took the boys the first night, yikes. Lane fell through the chair, Holden pulled his place setting off the table. They both threw rice everywhere. It was a disaster. We learned quickly a dinner delivery to the house was the way to go!

They loved swimming...by the end of the week they were fearless! Holden says, "I jump!" " I go under!" and he meant it...you had better be ready because there was no holding him back

It was one of the most relaxing vacations ever, and with a 3 and 1 year old that is saying something.
We are so thankful for fun family memories and adventures!
If anyone wants more info as far as details for planning, please let me know!! I love trip planning as you probably have figured out, and this was a great one.
