We had a wonderful trip to Sacremento and Lake Tahoe. It was my first time to Tahoe, and James's first time to California. The day before we got there it snowed 18 inches (and we had been worried about having enough snow to ski) . Lake Tahoe is beautiful, a large blue lake with the backdrop of snow covered mountains all around the perimeter. James and I enjoyed skiing together, and we both didnt hurt anything! We stayed with my cousins from California, the Grutzmachers. It was great to get to visit and spend time with them as we don't get to as often as we would like. The ending was bittersweet however, because my great uncle Don fell the day we left. He passed away this Monday. I am so glad that we got to see him one last time. We sat around the dinner table Saturday night hearing him tell stories of my grandparents and all of the fun times they had. He was a wonderful man, and will be missed greatly. Please be praying Dick, Debbie, Doug and Annie....
