Heavy Heart

In the nature of transparency, it has been a tough week. Thursday one of our hygenist here at work passed away. She had a heart attack at work, an ambulance rushed her to the hospital and she didn't make it. She was 48 years old. She has two children, one of whom is 15. It has broken my heart.
One minute she was cutting up with her two patients and cleaning teeth, the next she was with Jesus.
It really makes you think. Reminds me of one of my husband's favorite verses, James 4:13-15
13Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.15Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
I am reminded to be thankful for each and every day we are given. I am reminded that the Lord's will be done. She was a a quiet constant in our office for 22 years, and will be very missed. Please join me in praying for the Dixon family during this difficult time.

Rayne, are you the dentist that I met this past weekend at Scotts? If so, I so enjoyed meeting you. Whether you are or not, this is such a sad story. I am so sorry about this. Just so sorry.
