Real Pregnant and Busy

Hello Blog Friends! I am trying to keep up with summer activities and such on the blog, but there is just not enough time. Here are some random ramblings and updates:

I am really pregnant, like 39 weeks pregnant. I can't complain, I have been feeling good, but I forgot how large and uncomfortable these last few weeks are. Baby boy has lodged under my left rib and it feels great. I had a drs. appointment yesterday and am 2 cm and 50% effaced (aka my cervix is half way thinned). This is slight progress from last week, but not significant. I don't anticipate him making his debut this week, which is good because we have a lot to do to get ready. Mom is working on Lane's big boy room as I type (thanks mom!)

I will be induced next Thursday (26th) if he has not come before then.  The tricky part is that I stayed with the same Dr. that delivered Lane at St. Vincent's so we have a little drive time to get to the hospital if I do go into labor before then. I can just see it now, mid root canal on a patient...water breaks....hmmm could be interesting. Speaking of work, we are very busy (such a blessing!!) with everyone getting their back to school cleanings so I am in full work mode.

We celebrated the upcoming arrival of Baby Bobo this past weekend. I don't have many pictures as I took them on Caroline's camera, so post soon CKB! It was a lot of fun, and I am so excited to find out what Baby Bobo is. We did a gender pool, here is my guess : BOY Sept. 20th

Momma Susie (grandmother to be)

Liney, Courtney, and Beth

I have been reading at night before bed if I don't fall asleep too early. Here are some of the recent good ones:

Seven by Jen Hatmaker
great read on ways to rid of excess in our lives..she focuses on different areas each month, food, clothes, media etc. to rid of excess...also love her explanation of Godly fasting...she has a great sense of humor too, which makes it fun while convicting.

The Body in the Boudoir by Katherine Hall Page

totally different from what I normally like, but a fun light mystery...would be a great beach read

The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck
my favorite so far from this Christian fiction author, really like that it is set in Birmingham so fun bc she mentions local spots, again another light easy read

Hope to be back again before baby boy comes, but we'll see :)
